About Max's Auto Repair

We are a family that has come a long way. Because of the war in Ukraine, we had to leave our home. At first, we found shelter in Poland, and in 2023, life brought us to the United States — to the town of Blackduck, Minnesota. Here, we decided to start over and bring to life a dream that had lived in my husband’s heart for many years.

My husband has over 10 years of experience in auto repair. Back in Ukraine, he dreamed of owning his own auto shop. When we arrived in America, we knew it was time to act — and in 2025, we started our family business: Max’s Auto Repair.

While our children are still small, we are growing this business together as a couple. But we believe that, in time, it will become a true family business, where each of us will contribute a part of ourselves.

We work with vehicles of all kinds — both European and American models. Our main specialty is engine and transmission repair, but that’s far from all we do.

We offer a wide range of services, including:

• Engine and transmission replacement

• Engine repairs

• Oil changes

• Tire replacement

• Electrical wiring repairs

• Vehicle diagnostics

• Suspension and steering repairs

• Interior equipment repair

For us, it’s not just about “fixing a car.” It’s about giving every customer confidence that their vehicle is in good hands. We are building this business with love, honesty, and respect for every client.

Sometimes communication may not be perfect, but we always try to be careful, clear, and respectful. We know our work well, and we give it our full dedication. We truly believe that a language barrier should never stand in the way of quality service.

Blackduck has become a piece of home for us. We came here with hope to start a new life, and we dreamed with all our hearts of starting something of our own. We genuinely want to stay here long-term, grow our business, and become a helpful part of the local community.

We are still learning English, so we kindly ask for understanding and patience with any communication challenges. But we are completely confident in our skills — we bring years of experience and full dedication to every repair.
